West Suburban meets Trump in White House

The 2025 Little League Softball World Series champions -- West Suburban from Johnstown -- recently visited the White House as guests of U.S. Rep. John Joyce who introduced the team to President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

"Last year, these talented young ladies from Johnstown made history by bringing home the Commonwealth's first Little League Softball World Series championship since 1978," said Joyce, who represents Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District. "They reunited in the Oval Office, where President Trump recognized and honored them for their outstanding achievement.

"It was a privilege to celebrate this special moment with them. Their team chemistry, hard work, and mental toughness earned them not only a championship title, but memories and friendships that will last a lifetime."

After a day traveling from Cambria County with their coaches, a visit with Joyce and a tour of the U.S. Capitol, the team arrived at the White House and waited briefly in the Roosevelt Room.

After meeting the president and talking about their championship season, each team member and coach was presented with a Presidential Challenge Coin. Trump signed a game ball from the winning game over Indiana, and the team presented the president with a team jersey.
