Deadline to apply is July 17

The Saxton Liberty High School Alumni Association is accepting applications for a scholarship for Tussey Mountain High School graduates completing their first year of a four-year college program.

Saxton Liberty High School consolidated with Robertsdale High School in 1961 to form the Tussey Mountain School District.

Each year, the Saxton Liberty Alumni Association has selected and presented financial aid to deserving graduates of Tussey Mountain High School.

These young people must be enrolled in a four-year program and have reached the end of the first year of that program.

Since the first presentation of these awards in 1994, a total of 71 students meeting the above noted criteria have received scholarship awards totaling $84,500.

This has been made possible thanks to the support of the Saxton Liberty Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Applications may be picked up at TMHS, Tussey Mountain Elementary or the Saxton Community Library.

They may also be downloaded from the TMSD website at TMSD.net. Deadline for return to Larry Williams is July 17.
