Mary Hicks staffs a booth during the Week of the Young Child Celebration at the Logan Valley Mall on Saturday, April 11. A total of 401 parents and children attended. This event was coordinated by the Week of the Young Child Committee and the United Way of the Southern Alleghenies’ Family Resource Center. Attendees visited activity tables provided by 33 area early education providers, child development programs and agencies concerned with the health, education and welfare of young children and their families while receiving information and giveaways.
