Juniata Elementary Drama Club, under the direction of Kathy Otto and Heidi Soldner, will perform Disney’s “The Little Mermaid, Jr..” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, Thursday, May 7, and Friday, May 8 in the Juniata Elementary School gymnasium.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door, and are $5 for adults and $3 for students age 12 and younger.
The “Little Mermaid, Jr.” tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess, who trades her voice to the evil sea witch, Ursula, in exchange for legs, so she can pursue the charming Prince Eric on land.
With help from friends, Ariel must secure a kiss within three days to remain human. Of course, the evil Ursula will do anything to stop this from happening.
The show features singing and dancing to musical favorites, including “Part of Your World,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Under the Sea.”
The Juniata Drama Club, now in its 16th year, is comprised of more than 40 fourth and fifth grade students, who rehearse before and after school to bring musical theater to the elementary stage.
