Clothing giveaway planned
Grace’s Closet at Grace Lutheran Church, 1114 N. Cambria St., Bellwood, will host a clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 11. Spring clothing is available. Masks are optional. For more information, call the church at 814-742-7501 or 814-742-7416.
DelGrosso’s Lasagna Dinner
Greenwood United Methodist Church, 1505 E. Walton Ave., Altoona, will serve a DelGrosso’s lasagna dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in the social hall. The cost is $13 if paying in cash or $13.50 if using a debit or credit card.
Meals, available for eat-in or take-out, include lasagna, two meatballs, salad, roll and dessert.

Divine Mercy Sunday set
Divine Mercy Sunday will be held Sunday, April 12, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 308 Old Route 220, Duncansville. Mass will be at 8 and 11 a.m. Food will be available from noon to 5 p.m. Confessions will be from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Divine holy hour will be 3 to 4 p.m. Basket raffle tickets will be available all day with the drawing at 4:30 p.m.
Food pantry available
The food pantry at Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren, 28th Street and Union Avenue, is available for those in need. Distribution will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Fridays, April 10 and April 24, by appointment only. Call Deb at 814-207-8293.
Free lunch offered
A free lunch, featuring beef and noodle soup, a sandwich and dessert, will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren, 28th Street and Union Avenue.
Picnics in the park
The Well Ministry Center is sponsoring Picnics in the Park at Grove Memorial Park, 23rd Street and Sixth Ave., every Tuesday beginning April 14.
A meal will be served at 5:15 p.m., followed by games, crafts and a short message of hope. The whole family is welcome. Rain or shine. The Well is located at 605 Burns Ave., Altoona.
Free movie night scheduled
Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren, 28th Street and Union Avenue, will host a free movie night Friday, April 17, with snacks provided starting at 7 p.m. followed by a screening of the movie, at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Breakfast buffet planned
Raystown Brethren Church, Saxton, will hold a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18. It offers all-you-can eat favorites like eggs, pancakes, sausage and more. It is by donation. Proceeds will benefit Kids Konnection.
Free lunch scheduled
Providence Presbyterian Church, 2401 Broad Ave., invites the public for a free lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18. Lunch will include a sloppy joe sandwich and macaroni and cheese, a variety of homemade soups, desserts, fruit and beverages. All are welcome.
Free Easter Eggstravaganza
Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren, 28th Street and Union Avenue, will host a free Easter egg hunt on April 19, following church. All are welcome.
Healing through community
Grief is a journey no one should walk alone. The grief support group meets at 6 p.m. Thursdays at The Well Ministry Center, 605 Burns Ave., Altoona. This is a safe place to share, heal and find hope and comfort. For more information, call 814-201-2548.
Video discussions offered
The Central Pennsylvania Creation Fellowship will host a series of monthly video discussions on “Is Genesis History?” On April 12, the presentation will feature Dr. Kurt Wise and Dr. Larry Vardiman speaking on “The Post-Flood Effects of the Ice Age and Our Climate.”
The series is free and open to the public. Light refreshments are offered after each meeting.

Pancake breakfast planned
The Men’s Club of St. Mary and St. Michael in Hollidaysburg will hold its famous all you can eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 19, at the St. Michael’s Church hall, 301 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg. Donation of $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger. Proceeds will benefit upcoming service projects. The breakfast includes drinks and a pancake topping bar.
