ACRP marks 37 years with free family fun
ACRP, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the mental and behavioral health of children, adolescents, adults and families, will celebrate its 37th anniversary with a free, family-friendly community event from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the Play Center, 917 Chestnut St., Johnstown.
For 37 years, ACRP has provided an array of services across Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland counties. Programs are designed to support individuals, improve family interaction and promote emotional well-being.
This celebration marks ACRP’s commitment to building healthier communities through specialized services, care and education.
The anniversary event includes free admission to the Play Center and Glow Room, dancing and music, access to the outdoor playgrounds, complimentary hot dog and drink, face painting , raffle prizes and more.
“This celebration recognizes 37 years of service while also creating an opportunity to connect and interact in our community,” said Frank Janakovic, ACRP’s president/CEO. “At a time when many people feel disconnected, we’re proud to bring individuals and families together and give back to the community we service.”
ACRP’s Play Center provides a safe and engaging environment where children can play, explore and build connections, which is an important part of supporting overall mental and emotional wellbeing for children & families.
