Local authors Carol Deremer and Becky Johnen will sell/sign their books. Autographed copies of Patty Valentine’s children’s book will be available for purchase.

The kitchen will be open.

A gift card bonanza with bundles of gift cards valued at a minimum of $100 each will offer opportunities for all attendees.

All proceeds will support the chapter’s community service projects, especially their Teacher Enrichment Grants and their We Care Bags.

Teacher Enrichment Grants are designed to fund a special project or program that local teachers would like to use in their classrooms. In the five years since its inception, 24 grants have been awarded.

We Care Bags is a project that helps children in families who are dealing with a devastating situation (loss of possessions due to any unfortunate event, sudden change in living conditions, etc.) by providing them with backpacks filled with personal and comfort care items, including fleece blankets made by chapter members. Since its inception in 2023, 96 bags have been distributed to the six public schools in Bedford County as well as Johnstown Elementary in Cambria County.
