Dreams Go On to train volunteers
Dreams Go On Inc. invites the public to its Volunteer Training Day at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, as it prepares for its upcoming riding season.
Volunteers, 16 years of age or older, can find an application at www.DreamsGoOn.com or at the barn located at 1401 Turkey Valley Road, Hollidaysburg, the day of the training. New volunteers, as well as returning volunteers, are invited to get an update on Dreams Go On's policies and procedure for a quality program.

Blair Concert Chorale, AAHS Ensemble perform
The Blair Concert Chorale will close the 2025-26 season with choral music of American composers. Performing with the BCC will be the Altoona Area High School Vocal Ensemble.
The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14th Street and 12th Avenue, Altoona.
The Blair Concert Chorale will perform a full program of pieces celebrating the music of America. Works by composers such as Aaron Copland, Randall Thompson, Gwyneth Walker will be featured, as well as such favorites as Shenandoah and the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
In addition, the AAHS Vocal Ensemble will present four selections: Sorida, Psalm 150, Sing Me to Heaven and No Hidin' Place.
General admission tickets -- available at Thompson's Pharmacies (Chestnut Avenue and Hollidaysburg), online at Eventbrite and at the door -- are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
Fit N Fun House plans fundraiser
Fit N Fun House, 3000 Seventh Ave., second floor, rear, Altoona, will host a PUNCH N POUR for a PURPOSE from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, to benefit another local, nonprofit organization, God's Little Offerings.
Organizers are asking for minimum donations of $10 or gift cards to local grocery stores or Walmart. All are welcome to join in.
Learn some basic self-defense techniques in a cardio and fun fashion and stay for a St. Patty's-style party afterward.

Food collection for veterans set
Laurel Highlands Historical Village will be collecting food and other necessities for veterans and the elderly in need.
The collection will be held in front of the Ebensburg Walmart from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 20.
In addition to non-perishable food items, the group is collecting gift cards, paper goods, hygiene products, blankets, ceramic heaters and new and used kitchen items and towels.
Donations will also be accepted at the Galleria Mall, lower level, in Johnstown, as well as the Hoss's in Ebensburg and Johnstown, Kimmie's restaurant in Mundys Corner, Stagers in Portage and Randy's Bi Lo in Windber.
Donations can be mailed to LHHV, 390 Rose Branch St., Johnstown, PA 15909.
