Small games of chance topic of discussion

The Blair County Drug and Alcohol program will present "Understanding Small Games of Chance" at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at 3001 Fairway Drive.

The event will offer free training for small games of chance licensees and build your organization's understanding of Pennsylvania's Gambling and Small Games of Chance Laws and how to operate games and permitted games.

The event will also include a question and answer session with trainer Jamie Jones, retired Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.

Off Pitt Street Theater seeks voice actors

The Off Pitt Street Theater Company, 110 W. Pitt St., Ste. 2, Bedford, will be holding its "first read" for the next edition of "Atomic Radio -- Classic Sci Fi" at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11.

"Atomic Radio" is a live performance where actors present stories through dramatic reading, costumes, lights and Foley sound engineering like the widely popular radio shows of the 1940s and '50s. No memorization is required. There are three mandatory rehearsals and two show dates, 7 p.m. Jan. 30 and 31. Parts are available for ages 8 and up. Tyrone Community Players sets auditions

The Tyrone Community Players will be holding auditions for the production of the children's version of "The Jungle Book."

The show is for children in first through 12th grade.

Auditions will be held at 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11 and 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12 at the group's building, 1019 Logan Ave., Tyrone. Please use the back entrance.

Performance dates are April 17 and 18.
