WISE Women announces fall semester scholarship winners

WISE Women of Blair County is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for the fall 2025 scholarship application period.

These scholarships are available to women residents of Blair County, 21 years of age and older who have overcome adversity or discrimination in their lives and are pursuing post-secondary education.

A total of $11,000 was awarded to the following five women: Leah Hostler, who is a student in the bachelor’s degree program in secondary education with a minor in history at Penn State University – University Park; Madison Peck, who is a student in the Bachelor of Science degree program in nursing at Penn State Altoona; April Ruehle, who is a student in the Bachelor of Arts degree program in psychology at the Penn State World Campus (received a WISE Scholarship and the Donna D. Gority Scholarship); Erin Harlow, who is a student in the Bachelor of Arts degree program in art and English at Penn State Altoona; and Joclynn Ramsey, who is a student in the Bachelor of Arts degree program in psychology with a minor in music at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania – Bloomsburg. The scholarships are awarded through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation.

The next scholarship application period will be for spring 2026, which is due by 4 p.m. March 27, 2026.
