Huntingdon County sunset
Jeff McNelis of Tyrone took this photo at the end of the day in Penns Woods.
Land ho!
Jim Penatzer of Ebensburg submitted this picture that an unidentified bystander took of Penatzer, wife Robyn, along with their grandson, Owen Stossel, as they approached Muskrat Beach at Prince Gallitzen State Park. The Penatzers volunteer each year to help with car parking at the Apple Cider Festival there. As they tied up their boat, at 7 a.m., a woman approached them and showed them the photos she just took of them.
Brighter days ahead
This rainbow appeared when the sun started to shine after the rain stopped before 5 p.m. Oct. 30. It shone over the apartment building of Hopper Commons in Frankstown Township, Hollidaysburg. The photo was submitted by Gwen Black of Hollidaysburg.
