Program on invasive plants set at Fort Roberdeau

Join Jody Wallace, “The Creature Teacher,” from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Historic Barn at Fort Roberdeau to learn how to remove invasive plants the “hands-on” way, restore wildlife habitat and historic setting.

Wear sturdy shoes, long socks, long-sleeved shirts and pants. Work gloves will be provided or bring your own. Community service hours’ documentation is available.

This event is being held in collaboration with the Juniata Valley Audubon Society and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

In case of severe weather, the event will be postponed. Check the Fort Roberdeau social media accounts for updates.
