Altoona Area Public Library sets September programs

Storytellers on Stage, featuring Taylor Adams, will be presented at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Mishler Theatre. Presented by Kooman & Associates, the event will benefit the Altoona Area Public Library.

Acclaimed bestselling thriller author Taylor Adams steps out from behind the page and onto the Benzel Stage at the Historic Mishler Theatre. Taylor has captured readers worldwide and his book “No Exit” has been adapted into a HULU original movie. The event will allow participants a chance to go behind the scenes of page-turner thrillers and hear directly from the mind that crafted them. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the Mishler Box Office for $25 each, plus $2 online processing fee, or at mishlertheatre.org. All ticket sales benefit the library.

Support the library and watch your donation bloom at the Friends of the Library Fall Mums Sale! Purchase a voucher at the library’s Adult Circulation Desk to redeem at Brubaker’s Greenhouse, Martinsburg. Each $10 voucher gets you a 9-inch potted mom. Vouchers are available for purchase through Sept. 12.
