CRESSON -- The Cresson Business and Professional Women's organization is accepting applications for its annual educational grant which has been increased from $500 to $750.
This is the 35th year the group has offered the funds to a returning adult student.
To qualify, individuals must be an adult learner of at least 24 years of age and have completed one-fourth of a program at a four-year college or university, two-year college, business or vocational school or certificate program, school of nursing, or practical nursing track.
The applications must include a 250-word career-goal statement and official grade transcript as proof of completion. Student copies or unofficial copies of transcripts will not be accepted.
Last year's recipient was Brandy Giarth, a practical nursing student attending the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center.

Completed applications and other information must be submitted by March 21, 2025.
The winner will be notified in mid-April and invited to the Cresson BPW's April meeting to receive the grant.
Cresson BPW was chartered in 1958 and is proud of its 67-year history.
