Booster Club holds appreciation dinner
Trending
Every year, the Altoona Curve Booster Club shows its appreciation to the manager, coaches and players of the Altoona Curve team for their dedication throughout the season and rewards them with a dinner and monetary gift.
Last season, the dinner was held following the afternoon game on July 31. Approximately 109 team members, Altoona Curve Front Office Staff and Booster Club members enjoyed a meal in Liberty Hall of the US Hotel.
Another important feature of the dinner is devoted to recognizing indivi duals who go over and above to assist the Booster Club with its events throughout the year.
Three awards are generally presented: one to a Booster Club member, one to a member of the Altoona Curve staff, and one to a member of the community who donates time or monetary help with one or more Booster Club events.
This year's awardees included: Karyl Ginter of the Booster Club; Mike Kessling of the Altoona Curve Front Office; and Scott Orolin of Loyal Gaming Rewards.
Each received a new Louisville slugger bat with his/her name and year presented, inscribed with appreciation of the Altoona Curve Booster Club.
Presenting the awards were President Joe Keller, Vice President Dave Lanzel and Board member Duane Bordell.
