Through the Fiore Toyota Backpack giveaway program, Fiore’s gave to six local schools programs a total of $30,000 ($5,000 to each school). Above, the Mountain Lion Backpack Program in the Altoona Area School District receives a $5,000 donation. The Fiore program benefits thousands of children in area schools with healthy, individually wrapped, child-friendly food items all 35 weeks of the school year. Altoona program staff and volunteers pack an average of 1,100 backpacks for children experiencing food insecurity. All these schools are in need of funding during the school year. “Daniel Fiore (dealer principle) at Fiore Toyota has been a mainstay every year to provide our community with joy-filled donations. We hope everyone has a chance to volunteer or chip in when they can to help our local community needs,” said Chad Confer, sales manager at Fiore Toyota.

Other schools receiving donations were Bellwood-Antis, Claysburg-Kimmel, Tyrone, Hollidaysburg and Central.

Starting at $2.99/week.
