On May 19, administration, faculty and staff of the former Theodore Roosevelt Junior High School held a reunion at the Cesare Battisti Club in Altoona. The school, which opened in 1924, closed its doors to students for the final time in 2008. This year would have marked Roosevelt's 100th anniversary. The reunion featured remarks, memorabilia, refreshments and many stories from the 80 attendees who worked at the school. A committee of 10 former faculty members organized the event.
