ROARING SPRING -- Nason Hospital Auxiliary has been offering scholarships to area high school seniors pursuing a career in the medical field for the past several years.
The scholarship began with the hope that the auxiliary could offer financial support to qualifying students.
The auxiliary encourages donations from its members to help with
the cost of the scholarships.
This year, a scholarship of $500 was awarded to two local students: Laney Yost from Altoona Area High School, who will be attending the University of Pittsburgh to major in biology/ pre-med, and Mary Grill from Central High School, Martinsburg, who will be attending Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, to major in nursing.
Incoming high school seniors should check with their guidance office next spring for information about the scholarship.
