On June 9, local Lions from around the area met for their final meeting of the Lions year. After a brief meeting, they packaged about 100 backpacks for summer programs around the region. Each backpack embossed with the Lions logo, was filled with five-single serve mac-n-cheese packages, five books, a small bag of school supplies and a pack or two of hockey cards from the district card drive. Lions present were from Allenport, Blairs Mills, Durham, Hollidaysburg, Huntingdon, Hymen Londenderry, Juniata Valley, Orbisonia, Roaring Spring, Wayne Township Beacon Lodge, and Williamsburg Lions Clubs. All clubs of the proud district of 14-L.
