AAHS Alumni Band Day set Sept. 6

Deadline to reserve T-shirt, buffet tickets is Aug. 9

The AAHS Alumni Association will host an AAHS Alumni Band Day on Friday, Sept. 6, when the Mountain Lions take on Cumberland Valley at Mansion Park Stadium.

This will also be the Mountain Lions' Gold Ribbon game recognizing National Childhood Cancer Awareness in partnership with the Brian Morden Foundation.

Brian Morden '02 lost his battle ith cancer in 2003 and was also a member of the AAHS marching band.

This year's event will also celebrate and honor AAHS Band Director Larry Detwiler as he directs his final Alumni Band Day event.

Registration can be made at www.aahsalumni.org or by stopping in the AAHS Alumni Association Office located at 1201 Eighth Ave., Altoona. Registration includes a maroon Alumni Band commemorative T-shirt and a buffet dinner.

All former band members, majorettes, color guard and silk corps members are invited.
