Glendale School District's Indoor Guard and Twirlers competed at Tournament Indoor Association's Chapter XI Championship on Saturday, April 27, at Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. Three teams consisting of students in grades four through 12 participated, and all three teams won first-place titles in their scholastic divisions. Shown are (from left): first row -- Glendale Elementary Twirlers: Della Moore, Jovie Rickard, Lydia Snyder, Gabriella Zendek, Andie Snyder, Emma Potts, Annalynn King, Addison Peacock, Caroline Hnatkovich and Gaia Mollica; second row -- Glendale H.S. Guard and Twirlers: Cheyenne Pusateri, Jenna Beers, Calleigh Yingling, EmmaLee Vereshack, Brianna Hnatkovich, Megan Phillips, Dallas Dove, Melanie Phillips, Kara Smith, Michaela Hnatkovich and Jenna McElheny. The teams are coached by Julie Noal. All three teams traveled to Wildwood, N.J., to represent Region XI at the TIA Atlantic Coast Championships from May 1-5.
