LBCY to graduate class of 2024

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Blair County Youth (LBCY) program will graduate 24 local students at a ceremony on May 8 at the Port Sky Cafe at Penn State Altoona.

LBCY is a Blair County Chamber of Commerce program open to high school sophomores that focuses on servant leadership. The youth program is formatted similarly to the Chamber's adult leadership program. LBCY has been used as a model for leadership youth programs throughout Pennsylvania and the tri-state region. The LBCY curriculum includes monthly sessions on community focused topics and a class project.

Members of the 2024 graduating class are: Rebekah Adams, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy; Norah Bechtel, Central High School; Margaret Brouse, Altoona Area High School; Evan Brumbaugh, Central High School; Naomi Deweese, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Katherine Dunn, Central High School; Josephine Filan, Grier High School; Mariah Good, Williamsburg Community High School; Luke Gurekovich, Bellwood-Antis High School; Parker Huey-Kish, Altoona Area High School; Lauren Lehman, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy; Alana Lightner, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy; Cooper Lovrich, Bellwood-Antis High School; Michael Waibel Maharaj, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Willow Miller, Central High School; Macy Norris, Williamsburg Community High School; Brock Patel, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy; Maddalena Pulcinello, Bellwood-Antis High School; Aidan Schurr, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy; Kaya Sprankle, Altoona Area High School; Reese Storm, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Frances Weaver, Tyrone Area High School; Eric Weyant, Altoona Area High School; and Parker White, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy.
