The Central Cove FFA Veterinary Science Team participated in the Eastern States Exposition (The Big E) last fall in Springfield, Mass. The Veterinary Science Team placed third overall at the team competition with three team members placing in the top 10 for the individual competition portion of the event. Four members of the Central Cove FFA traveled to the FFA Fall Leadership Conference at the Blair County Convention Center on Oct 3 under the direction of Central High School agriculture teacher and Central Cove FFA adviser, Heather VanWinkle. This event featured first-year member workshops for students and teamwork activities. Central High School freshmen who participated are (from left): Jacob Smith, Ellie Fisher, Cameron Bailey and Gabrielle Decker.
