BELLWOOD -- The Bellwood-Antis Public Library has announced upcoming programs.
n Toddler Tuesday is a toddler storytime followed by an informal playgroup in the children's room. This storytime is for ages 18 months-3 years. Toddler Tuesday continues every Tuesday through April 30. After April, Toddler Tuesday will take a brief spring break, and return in June.
n The Friends of the Bellwood-Antis Public Library will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18. New members are welcome.
n Club Lego is two hours of Lego freestyling for kids ages 5 and up. Use the library's collection of Lego bricks to build something creative and get to know fellow Legorinos. Club Lego is free, and no sign-ups are needed, but adults must stay in the library while children build. The next Club Lego is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18.
n A free bubble show will be presented by Lynn Dalby Designs at noon Saturday, April 20, in the children's room.
n The Bellwood-Antis Hitorical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, in the library's Sheetz Community Room. Learn about the German-Americans of the Tuckahoe Valley and how they and other descendants influenced the greater Bellwood-Antis area. Learn about them and some ways of discovering your possible German ancestors. This meeting is open to the public.
n The library will host a vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday April 27. Signups for the April 20 clinic have closed. Contact the library on Facebook messenger, at 814-742-8234 or bellwoodantispublic
library@gmail.com to sign up for any of the following vaccines: TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), shingles, RSV and COVID (RSV can only be given in conjunction with a COVID vaccine) and Prevnar 20 (pneumonia vaccine). The deadline to register for the April 27 clinic is Tuesday, April 23. Please bring your insurance card to the clinic. These free clinics are made possible by the Center for Independent Living, Gloria Gates Care and USAging's Aging and Disability Vaccination Collaborative.
n The library's Spring Used Book Sale begins on Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and continues during regular library hours from Monday, April 29, through Thursday, May 2, from 1 to 8 p.m. daily. The sale concludes with bag day discounts on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m.. to 2 p.m. There will be two rooms of gently used books of all kinds as well as puzzles, games, movies, music and more. All proceeds benefit the Bellwood-Antis Public Library. Please do not donate books during the Used Book Sale.
