The Blair Garden Club of Altoona is offering a $1,000 scholarship to eligible high school seniors.
The applicant must be a resident of Blair County. Students must be interested in pursuing further education in one of the following areas of study: agricultural education, botany, city planning, ecology, environmental engineering, environmental science, floriculture/floral design, forestry, horticulture, landscape architecture and design, nursery production/management, plant pathology/science, soil science/conservation, turf management or wildlife science.
Graduating high school students who meet the qualifications are to contact their high school guidance counselor to obtain an application or contact Paula Craw at pcraw@atlanticbb.net or Julie Fleck at jafleck@yahoo.com.
The deadline is Friday, April 5.
