Lehman Endowment announces its first scholarship

In the many decades since the late P. Joseph Lehman Sr. founded P. Joseph Lehman Inc. Consulting Engineers in 1969, Lehman helped many women enter the engineering field and advance their careers.
To celebrate his legacy, his family established the P. Joseph Lehman Sr. Memorial Scholarship in Engineering for Women Endowment Fund in 2021.
Every year, the endowment will release a scholarship for the benefit of a female student enrolled at a Catholic high school in either Blair or Cambria counties, who expresses an interest in pursuing engineering.
President and CEO of the Independent Catholic Foundation, Chris Ringkamp, announced the initial scholarship has been awarded to Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School student, Kaitlyn Link.
Contributions in memory of P. Joseph Lehman Sr. may be made to the endowment either online at www.icfoundation.us or mailed to Independent Catholic Foundation, 3618 Fifth Ave., Suite 1, Altoona, PA 16602.
The endowment is among 280 funds managed by the Independent Catholic Foundation in Altoona in a portfolio invested entirely with the ethical, social and moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
