Every year at Christmas time, the Altoona Unemployment Compensation office picks a nonprofit organization to support. This year, it chose The Jared Box Project. The Jared Box Project is a nonprofit organization that fills plastic shoe-size boxes with games and toys and then delivers them to sick children in the hospital. The office staff came together and filled 150 boxes with games, toys and well wishes. These boxes were delivered to a hospital after Christmas.
