Students can enter ‘How to Be a Hero’ coloring contest
Local elementary school students are encouraged to enter the “How to Be a Hero Coloring Contest” sponsored by Edgar Snyder & Associates and Steelers defensive captain Cam Heyward.
The law firm and Heyward’s foundation, The Heyward House, will donate $1,000 to each of five local elementary schools.
In addition to the donation to the school, each winning artist will receive a gift card and their artwork will be featured on a billboard in their community
The partnership between Edgar Snyder & Associates and Heyward began in 2015. Last year, they joined forces to provide meals for students in need to take home on the weekend during the school year.
“This coloring contest is one of our firm’s favorite programs,” said Attorney Rob Fisher, partner. “We’ve been working with Cam and his foundation since 2015, and we’re thrilled that he once again wanted to help us give back to local educators and students.”
Elementary school students in grades K-5 in Western and Central PA are eligible to participate.
Students should draw “How to Be a Hero” — it can be a big idea, a simple one, something serious, or something silly. All entries should be submitted on a piece of plain 11×8.5 piece of paper (landscape orientation) and mailed to: Edgar Snyder & Associates, Attn: Shannon Botts, Marketing, US Steel Tower, 10th Floor, 600 Grant St., Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
Include student’s name, age, school, teacher or guardian name and email address on the back of the entry.
Entries must be postmarked by Jan. 19. Additional information and official rules can be found at www.EdgarSnyder.com
