WISE Women of Blair County is seeking applications for scholarship assistance.
One or more scholarships will be awarded up to a total of $10,000. Deadline for applications is 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
These completed applications must be received by email or U.S. Postal mail to WISE Women, P. O. Box 134, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 or at info@wisewomenofblaircounty.org.
Scholarships will be available to Blair County resident females 21 years of age or older who have overcome adversity or discrimination in their lives and who are pursuing post-secondary education. The scholarship is not available for a master's, doctorate or a second bachelor's degree.
WISE Women of Blair County (WISE stands for Women Involved in Scholarship and Empowerment) has granted $20,000 in scholarships each year for women to continue their education.
The mission of the organization is to empower women and to eliminate racism through collaboration, service and education. The mission is fulfilled by providing scholarships, awarding grants, and recognizing outstanding women in our community through the annual Tribute dinner.
These scholarships are awarded through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation.
