Toy drive set for Saturday
The Marine Corps Reserves will hold a Toys For Tots toy drive from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Home Depot in Altoona.
Representatives will collect new, unwrapped toys for all ages.
Nominations due Nov. 4
The Hollidaysburg Area School District Alumni Association is seeking nominations of outstanding alumni (individuals or teams) to be recognized at the HASD Distinguished Alumni Dinner at the U.S. Hotel on Feb. 11.
To nominate an alumni, visit the Distinguished Alumni tab on the website at www.hasdalumni.org. Nominations can be emailed to hasdalumni@hasdtigers.com. Nominations are due Nov. 4.

Parade participants sought
Organizers of Ebensburg's annual Christmas parade are seeking participants for this year's event to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in downtown Ebensburg.
The parade is one of the many events offered as part of the Dickens of a Christmas event slated to run Dec. 2 to 4. Parade entrants can be vehicles, floats, walking groups and more. Floats should follow the Dickens of a Christmas theme of Christmas Around the World or be holiday-themed in nature. Cash prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners.

Cub Scouts event today
Cub Scout Pack 3331's Halloween party and open house will be 6:30-8 p.m. today, Oct. 31, at St. Mary's Church Social Hall in Hollidaysburg. There will be games and prizes for the best costume.
The Cub Scout pack is open to boys in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The pack meets 6:30 p.m. Mondays during the school year at St. Mary's Church Social Hall, 312 Clark St. in Hollidaysburg. For questions, call Cubmaster Randy Kline at 814-935-5926.
