Decades Club to benefit Healing Patch

Event to be held Oct. 8 at convention center
The Home Nursing Agency Foundation will present the Decades Club at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Blair County Convention Center, Altoona.
Attendees are invited to dance and sing through the decades and dine through the cultures as funds are raised to benefit the Healing Patch Children's Grief Program.
The Healing Patch offers free services for grieving children and their families in Blair and Cambria counties and surrounding areas.
Decades Club tickets are $100 each and admit two people to enjoy food stations with Italian, Mexican and German/Polish fare.
Drinks and entertainment are included.
Tommy Edwards is the emcee for this casual evening that includes many ways to win while supporting the Healing Patch.
B&R Entertainment will be playing America's greatest music from the 1960s to present.
Attendees can get ready to take the stage and perform a well-loved number as karaoke hour is introduced this year.

Ticket buyers and attendees must be 18 years or older. Attendees must present ID upon request for alcohol consumption.
The Healing Patch is a peer support program designed specifically for children and their families who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
The Healing Patch provides free services through local family groups, in-school peer support groups, community education and various grief resources.
Supportive services are offered to children and families through family sessions held at centers in Blair and Cambria counties.
Healing Patch staff also provide education and outreach to increase awareness of the unique needs of grieving children and how to access services.
Staffed by community volunteers and funded by donations and fundraising events, the Healing Patch provides local families with support to discover they are not alone in their grief and that hope and healing are possible.
