In recognition of National Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, Penn Lincoln Elementary School hosted a Cutest Pet Contest in support of the Central PA Humane Society.
Teachers had the opportunity to display their pet's photo outside the main office and students were invited to vote for the cutest pet by placing their coins in the container. Each cent represented one vote.
The contest ran from April 1 through April 14.
There were 21 pets in the contest.
The Penn Lincoln students collectively raised $1,500 which they recently presented to CPHS representative Becky Felton in a check presentation.
