Chamber graduates Leadership Blair County Youth

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Blair County Youth program graduated 24 students representing Blair County school districts.

The ceremony was held May 11 at the Port Sky Cafe at Penn State Altoona.

LBCY is a Blair County Chamber of Commerce program open to high school sophomores that focuses on servant leadership. The youth program is formatted similarly to the Chamber’s adult leadership program.

LBCY has been used as a model for leadership youth programs throughout Pennsylvania and the tri-state region.

The LBCY curriculum includes a retreat, monthly sessions on community-focused topics and a class project.

Members of the 2022 graduating class are: Maxwell Baronner, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Shelby Beauchamp, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Holly Butler, Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School; Claire Carper, Williamsburg Community High School; Cameron Claycomb, Claysburg-Kimmel High School; Joyce Cottle, Claysburg-Kimmel High School; Ava Dixon, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Rowan Gorsuch, Williamsburg Community High School; Jordan Hescox, Bellwood-Antis High School; Olivia Hess, Bellwood-Antis High School; Ryan Hostler, Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School; Isabella Knorr, Altoona Area High School; Meleah Lang, Altoona Area High School; Kaytlynn Leidig, Central High School; Mary Mckeegan, Hollidaysburg Area High School; Marklin Myers, Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School; Roger Royer, Williamsburg Community High School; Alyssa Sacchitella, Claysburg-Kimmel High School; Julia Schmitt, Altoona Area High School; Chance Schreier, Bellwood-Antis High School; Julianna Squires, Altoona Area High School; Finley Steinbugl, Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School; Miranda Tornatore, Bellwood-Antis High School; and Laney Yost, Altoona Area High School.
