Library to host children’s event

Artist/author to sign books at ‘Pony Time’

Area families are invited to “giddy up” to the Altoona Area Public Library for the coolest book signing event featuring the love of horses.

The event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the library’s youth room.

Altoona’ author/illustrator Rachel DiAndrea invites residents to “lasso a signed copy” of her new release children’s book, “The Fat Halfie.”

This delightful new children’s release features main character Annie Fannie, a little horse destined to find her true calling.

DiAndrea will be joined by Melony Wagner from Shadow Acre Stables to teach some galloping fun facts and pony fun activities.

Come learn about the real Annie Fannie, along with the fun and responsibilities involved with horses.

The event is open to the public. Donations are welcome for future programs at the library.
