Huntingdon County native elected international chair of Democrats Abroad
Democrats Abroad, the official organization of the Democratic Party for United States citizens living permanently or temporarily abroad, recently elected Candice Kerestan, a Huntingdon County native living in Munich, as its International Chair.
The Democratic Party is composed of 57 state parties, including one for each U.S. state, one for each U.S. territory and one for U.S. citizens living overseas: Democrats Abroad.

Kerestan will be responsible for coordinating the Democratic Party’s voter outreach to approximately 9 million U.S. citizens living abroad as well as represent overseas voters on the Democratic National Committee through 2023.
Kerestan moved to Germany for her master’s studies in political science in 2015.
