Webinars to help with Alzheimer’s, dementia

Individuals who are interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s and dementia are encouraged to participate in webinars offered by Penn State Extension.

There is no cost to attend these programs. These webinars include:

“Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia” will be offered from 9 to 10 a.m.. May 14. To register, visit extension.psu.edu/understanding-alzheimers-disease.

The webinar explores the relationship between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, explains the risk factors and the general stages of the disease, and offers helpful Alzheimer’s Association resources.

“Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body” will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. May 3.

The webinar is designed for individuals of any age who are interested in healthy living and aging well.

“Dementia Conversations: Driving, Doctor Visits, Legal and Financial Planning” will be offered from 1 to 2 p.m. April 19 and noon to 1 p.m. April 26. To register, visit extension.psu.edu/dementia-conversations-driving-doctor-visits-legal-and-financial-planning.

The webinar will cover common decisions that are difficult to discuss with loved ones and tips that can assist in making those important conversations less stressful.
