Ambucs awards scholarship

Ambucs Altoona continues to support the community and the up-and-coming students looking to venture into the therapy occupations.

A $1,000 scholarship was earmarked to Alexis Murray, as she continues her professional phase of the Occupational Therapy Program at Saint Francis University, Loretto.

“We Ambucs are grateful to be able to support our students. Miss Murray is a bright young lady and we wish her continued luck with her studies,” said Tim Parnell, Ambucs scholarship chairperson.

The Altoona Chapter of Ambucs is a community focused group helping children, teens, and adults with mobility challenges. We serve the community by providing therapeutic AmTrykes, educational scholarships for physical therapists, and residential ramp building. AMBUCS name is an acronym for American Business Club.
