The Blair County Antique Auto Club is holding their 2026 19th Downtown Cruise-in Altoona from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5. The Cruise will showcase all makes and models of domestic and foreign vehicles from the early 1900's and up. The club will have live music provided by R & B Productions on 12th Street and Back When at Heritage Plaza, and offer raffles and t-shirts for purchase, plus door prizes for vehicle participants. Cresson Lake Playhouse is bringing the nostalgia back with 90s Night, a free outdoor concert featuring some of your favorite Cresson Lake Playhouse performers.The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, outside behind the historic CLP barn, weather permitting. Bring a lawnchair. Guests can expect to hear some of the biggest hits of the decade while enjoying themed snacks and drinks. There will also be plenty of opportunities to join in on the fun with audience games, a basket raffle and more. Dressing up in 90s fashion is encouraged.
The Forest Hills Labor Day Festival, presented by Adams Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 2, St. Michael, will be held Saturday, Sept. 5 through Monday, Sept. 7, at Berwind Wayside Park in St. Michael. This year's family oriented festival will feature a wide variety of entertainment and activities including live music, food, crafts and business vendors, games, bingo, kids area, parade, all you can eat breakfast, beverage area, and spectacular fireworks show. Blue Knob State Park, Imler, will host an owl-themed educational program from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, in the Buck Hill Amphitheater. From hooting sounds to heads that spin, come learn why owls are such fascinating birds. The program is free.
The Community Arts Center of Cambria County will be holding its 55th Log House Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6, at 1217 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown. This year's festival features over 100 artisans and crafters and their diverse hand-crafted items of jewelry, pottery, bronze, florals, fabric items, handbags and more. Artisans and craftspeople are juried and selected to create a balanced mix of crafts so that the festival represents a cross-section of arts and crafts and fine arts.

Blue Knob State Park, Imler, will host an introduction to food canning class from 10 a.m. to 12p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at Group Camp #1 Dining Hall. We will be practicing our newly learned skills by making salsa. The program is free.
The Patton Fire Company #1 will be sponsoring a car show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept 6, at Patton Park. This will be a judged event with trophies awarded. Cars, trucks and motorbikes are welcome. There will also be food, games, vendors, music by DJ Wild Willie, 50/50 and a basket auction. The swimming pool will be open if the weather allows. The Altoona Association of Model Railroaders will sponsor a N-Scale Model Train Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Blair County Convention Center, Altoona. The event will feature 14 operating train layouts and over 50 vendors. Admission is $8 for one day, $12 for two days and kids 12 and under are free.
