The following churches have announced Holy week, Easter services:

— Zion Lutheran, 500 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg, will host Holy Week events starting with services at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Palm Sunday, March 29; 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday; 7 p.m., Good Friday; 6 p.m. on Holy Saturday; and 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Easter Sunday.

— Geeseytown-Newry Lutheran Parish will host Maundy Thursday worship at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Newry Lutheran Church, 1030 Shamrock Lane, Newry, and Good Friday services at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Geeseytown Lutheran Church, 462 Route 22, Hollidaysburg.

Easter Sunday Worship will begin with a Sunrise Service with Holy Communion at Geeseytown Lutheran Church at 6:30 a.m. followed by breakfast, and Easter morning worship with Holy Communion at 9 a.m. at Newry Lutheran Church. All are welcome to attend.

The Geeseytown-Newry Lutheran Parish is a member of the Allegheny Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

— Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 Fifth Ave., Altoona, will host a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 3 featuring the “7 last sayings.”

A Resurrection Sunrise Service will be held at 7 a.m. April 5 with a breakfast to follow. The Rev. Carla Beckton will deliver the message.

Easter Sunday morning services will be held at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Moore.

— Maundy Thursday worship service with communion will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Llyswen United Methodist Church, 308 Coleridge Ave., Altoona.

— Good Friday Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Christ Community UMC, 5715 Roselawn Ave., Altoona.

— Memorial Church of the Brethren, 210 N. Wall St., Martinsburg, will hold Easter Sunday services, April 5. A Son-Rise service will be held at

7 a.m., followed by breakfast. The adult and children’s Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the traditional Easter service at 10:30 a.m.

— Wehnwood United Methodist Church will host a 10 a.m. Palm Sunday service.

— Juniata United Methodist Church will hold a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service.

— Juniata United Methodist Church will hold a Good Friday crosswalk beginning at 6:30 a.m. There will be a sacrificial breakfast after the crosswalk at the Wehnwood UMC. LuAnne Baker will portray The Samaritan Woman at 8:30 p.m. after the breakfast.

— An evening Good Friday service will be held at Tipton United Methodist at 7 p.m.

— Wehnwood UMC will host a sunrise service at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday and a 10 a.m. Easter service.

— Second Avenue Global Methodist Church, 130 Second Ave., Altoona, will hold Palm Sunday services at 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.; Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m.; Good Friday service at 7 p.m.; Easter Sunday service at 7 a.m. and a contemporary Easter service at 9:30 a.m.
