January exhibit announced

The Community Arts Center of Cambria County presents “Deities & Demigods: Legends and Lore” by local artist Xarks Koa Beams in the Goldhaber-Fend Fine Arts Center gallery.

A wine and cheese opening reception for this exhibit and each exhibiting artist of 2025 is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 11. This exhibition runs until Feb. 28. Hours for the Goldhaber-Fend Fine Arts Center gallery are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, closed Sundays. Admission and opening reception is based on a “pay what you decide” donation.

‘Queen of Bingo’ scheduled

The Community Arts Center of Cambria County opens the 2025 Log Art Theatre season with “The Queen of Bingo,” performed by Iron Bridge Dinner Theatre at 6 p.m. Jan. 25.

This comedic play is an Hors d’oeuvre Theatre experience that includes a variety of delicious hot and cold, bite-sized appetizers of all kinds. This production includes a game of bingo during intermission, where someone will win a frozen turkey along with exciting other prizes. The show will be in the M. Josephine Paul Family Museum, which doubles as a black box theatre, located at 1217 Menoher Blvd.

Tickets cost $36 for members and $42 for nonmembers and are available for purchase online at caccc.org, over the phone or by stopping in at the Community Arts Center.

Choir registration open

Anyone interested in joining a new music endeavor The Community Arts Center of Cambria County is invited to attend the first rehearsal for Log Art Music: Show Choir at 5 p.m. Jan. 19.

Practices will be held the first and third Sunday of every month from 5 to 7 p.m. under the direction of Matthew “Matty” Harris as music director.

Participation in the show choir is free to participate in. Those interested are asked to complete a pre-registration form or attend the first rehearsal. Visit caccc.org to fill out the registration form. The choir will perform twice each year.
