First Friday Mass
St. Aloysius Parish, 7911 Admiral Peary Highway, Cresson, will hold a first Friday evening Mass at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3. Praise and worship begins at 6 p.m., with confessions at 6:30 p.m. The Mass will be led by the Rev. Julio Rivero, T.O.R.
Picnic lunch offered
Fourth Street Church of God, 4th Street and 21st Avenue, will serve a picnic lunch at the church parking lot from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The menu will include grilled hot dogs, macaroni salad, chips and drinks. Lunch is available for dine-in or take-out.
Clean up days scheduled
Overflow Church will host Community Clean Up from 4 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday in May. Participants are asked to register online at lovealtoona.com.
Center City Church celebrates anniversary
Center City Church will celebrate its seventh anniversary May 3-6. The anniversary weekend will feature a lineup of speakers, worship and empowering messages for all ages. The schedule includes Bart Pierce at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3; Bart Pierce and John Kelly, 9 a.m.m Saturday, May 4; John Kelly, 10 a.m. Sunday, May 5; and John Kelly with "Kingdom Wealth Builders," at 7 p.m. Monday, May 6.
Pierce serves as the senior pastor of RCC. He and his wife, Coralee, have pioneered Ministries of Compassion for over 30 years.
Kelly is the founder of International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders and president of John P. Kelly Ministries Inc.

Splash Night planned
Splash Night at the Well of Blair County will be held Monday, May 6, at 605 Burns Ave., Altoona. A family meal will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by songs, crafts and a short lesson. Annual Rosary March planned
The 47th Annual Rosary March, sponsored by the Clearfield St. Francis Chapter of the World Apostolate of Fatima, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in the Expo I Building at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds, just off Route 322. The Rosary March will begin with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, immediately followed by the Rosary, Eucharistic Procession (which will be outside weather permitting).
The guest speaker is Father James Davidson, pastor of St. Mary's Annunciation Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Ramey and St. John the Baptist in Johnstown. In addition, he has been a practicing family physician in Clearfield for the past 40 years. Davidson will be talking about Our Lady of Guadelupe at this year's event. Other highlights of the program include crowning of the Erie Diocesan Pilgrim Virgin Statue and benediction of The Most Blessed Sacrament. The St. Francis Rosary and Alter Society will have a variety of food for sale. There will also be various booths to purchase books, religious goods and snacks.
The Rosary March will go on rain or shine.

Summer music camp offered
Wehnwood United Methodist Church will host its Make a Joyful Noise music camp at 6 p.m. June 16-21, with a concert at 7 p.m. Friday, June 21, at First Church of Christ.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Eighth Avenue and 13th Street, Altoona, will hold its monthly food pantry distribution from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23.
Food distribution is done on a drive-thru basis to maximize social distancing, and the use of masks is encouraged for those on foot or getting out of their cars. Donations to the food pantry, either in money or in food are always welcome.
The food pantry distributions will be held each month and are tentatively scheduled for June 27, July 25, Aug. 29, Sept. 26, Oct. 24, Nov. 21 and Dec. 19.
Clothing, food donations sought
Donations of clothing and nonperishable foods will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, 1028 Penn St. The church parking lot will serve as a collection site for the American Rescue Workers. Donations can be dropped off and a tax receipt will be provided.
Community lunch to be held
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 13th Street and Eighth Avenue, will serve a free lunch at noon Wednesday, May 8.
Lunch is available for dine-in or take out. The menu is picnic-style, including hot dogs, baked beans, salads and dessert. Lunch is free; donations accepted.
Healing Mass scheduled
St. Michael Church, Hollidaysburg, will host a Healing Mass at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7.
Brunch, bake sale set
St. Lawrence of Brindisi Old Roman Catholic Church, Patton, will host a free brunch and bake sale from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11.
Craft show planned
Altoona Restoration Church of God, 911 N. Third St., will hold a craft show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Baked goods, basket raffle tickets, hot dogs and drinks will also be for sale.
Spaghetti dinner served
St. Joseph Parish in Bellwood will serve a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19. The cost for dine-in or take-out is $12 for adults and $6 for children six years old and younger.
The meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, Italian bread and dessert. Tickets can be purchased before and after mass in the vestibule or by calling the office at 814-742-7075
This fundraiser will support the church roof repairs.

Catholic investing summit planned
A Catholic Investing Summit will be held Tuesday, May 14, at The Blairmont Club, Hollidaysburg. The half-day event begins at 8 a.m. Kevin Karpuk, chief investment officer at Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management in Bethlehem, will present capital market assumptions and give an overview of the foundation's portfolio trends. Participants will also learn about Catholic investing principles. The summit is designed for pastors, parish administrators, parish finance councils and school boards, parish business managers, legal and financial professionals, and others interested in Catholic investing and philanthropy. Free concerts offered
– A free concert, "The Singing Guitar," by award-winning acoustic guitarist, El McMeen, will be offered at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Huntingdon's Word of LIfe Fellowship Church, 6013 Wesley Chapel Road, at its intersection with Summit School Road. An offering will be accepted.
McMeen has recorded 18 guitar albums (in addition to compilations), and is featured or included in a number of video releases. He has also written numerous books of guitar music, has given guitar workshops throughout the U.S., and produced recordings by other guitarists. His memoir, "Growing Up in God's Country," about his time in Huntingdon, has been honored as a No. 1 New Release on Amazon.

– Jaggard First Church will host The Chi Rho Singers at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, for an evening of sacred music, from contemporary to traditional
The church is at 1801 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona.
The Chi Rho Singers is a choir of the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church and includes about 25 active and retired pastors under the direction of the Rev. James Hollister and the Rev. Richard Smith.
The audience will be given the opportunity to join the choir in a few selections as well.
The concert is free; offerings accepted.
Picnics in the Park planned
The Well of Blair County will host Picnics in the Park at 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays at Grove Memorial Park, Sixth Avenue and 23rd Street. The events include a family meal followed by a short lesson, activities and games.

Duncansville Lutheran Church will hold its 5th annual plant swap from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11. Bring a plant or just yourself and enjoy spring.
