Archeologist, professor to speak

Biblical archaeologist, professor and author Douglas Petrovich, from the documentary "Is Genesis History," will focus on the archaeological evidence for the Tower of Babel, the historical reign of King Nimrod and more during the Biblical Origins and Evidences Conference this weekend.

Hosted at Frankstown Park Missionary Church in Hollidaysburg, the event features free sessions and Q&A dialogues at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20; 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21; 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Oct. 22. Friday's event features the Ancient World after the Flood and Reconciling Radiocarbon Dating. Saturday's presentations are identifying the Post-Babel Dispersion, parts 1 and 2; Identifying Babel and its Tower, parts 1 and 2; and Identifying Nimrod as Sargon of Akkad. Sunday features Lachish Ivory Comb and Unity through Humility, Philippians 2.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Petrovich has been involved in Christian service and educational institutions globally for decades.
