HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Tiger Pride Committee and the Hollidaysburg Area School District will host the ninth annual Tiger Pride Day on Aug. 19 at the HASD Tiger Stadium.
"Tiger Pride Day is a great way to start off the 2023 school year. This event brings everyone together and provides a positive experience for everyone: community members, students and teachers in the area. It includes everyone in Hollidaysburg and creates a sense of togetherness for the community," said Seth Burger, FBLA Officer and member of the Tiger Pride Publicity Committee.
"Tiger Pride day is a fun opportunity to kick off the upcoming school year by seeing familiar faces and recognizing the fall sports, athletes, coaches and music programs," said Daniel Theys, FBLA Officer and a member of the Tiger Pride Publicity Committee.
"This event does a great job showcasing the many talents of HASD from the music department to fall sports teams to the cheerleaders to assorted student clubs, it really has it all." Jacob Ott, FBLA Officer, Tiger Pride Publicity Committee.
Schedule of events:
– 9 a.m. -- JH (eighth grade) football scrimmage vs. Altoona
– 10 a.m. -- Boys soccer scrimmage vs. Central Cambria
– 11 a.m. -- Varsity football scrimmage vs. Penn Cambria/Somerset
– 2 p.m. -- Meet the Tigers and band/cheerleaders perform
– 3 p.m. -- Events end
The public is invited and all community members are welcome to attend.
