TCP to stage comedy ‘Always a Bridesmaid’

TYRONE -- Tyrone Community Players present the comedy "Always a Bridesmaid" at 7:30 p.m. June 9 and 10 at St. Matthew's Hall.
The cast for this show is Donna Dirdel, Kathy Fink, Sally Best, Leslie Lower, Kim Silverman, and Lindsey Walk.
Reservations for tickets can be made by calling the box office at 814-684-2782, and tickets can be picked up at the door or walk-ins are also welcome. The cost is $18.
In this hilarious comedic romp, four friends have sworn to keep the promise they made on the night of their senior prom: to be in each other's wedding -- no matter what. More than thirty years later, these Southern friends for life are still making "the long walk" for each other, determined to honor their vow. Libby Ruth, Deedra, Monette and Charlie are committed to the notion that careers, waistlines, and even marriages may disappear, but real friendships last a lifetime.

The Tyrone Community Players is seeking grants to help complete their building at 1019 Logan Ave. in Tyrone. Once the building is complete, the players will have a small theater available for the Arts in downtown Tyrone. This fall a patron drive will help fund its 40th season of shows. Members will also be selling caramel apples at Harvestfest as a fundraiser for productions.
