The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, after an inspection, said that Altoona Hospital may have violated three of the agency's requirements regarding handling of radioactive materials. The two sides were to meet in King of Prussia to discuss the issue.

The Cesare Battisti Club, 3909 Beale Ave., applied to Altoona City Council for approval of outdoor music, with signed permission from 36 neighbors. Altoona would have to seek permission from the state Liquor Control Board, which it already had for the downtown area.
