The Cambria County Conservation District will host Keep Cambria County Beautiful Tire & Appliance collections in the coming weeks.
Collections will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 29 in the parking lot of the Croyle Township municipal building, Route 53 and Beyers Road; May 6 at the Stonycreek Township municipal storage yard; and May 20 in Patton Borough at the parking lot near the old Patton football field.
Items such as old tires or old appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators and small metal appliances, will be accepted. Tires should be no larger than tractor-trailer size.
Costs are $10 for appliances containing freon, free for non-freon appliances. Tires are $2 off rim, $5 for on rim, $10 off rim tractor-trailer size and $20 for on rim tractor-trailer size.
Electronic waste, including computer systems, accessories, gaming devices and cellphones, will be accepted during a Tech Equipment Collection on Tuesday, May 9, for small businesses and Saturday, May 13, for the general Public. Those items will be collected from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cambria County Fairgrounds.
Televisions, and all other electronics can also be taken to the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority in Ebensburg from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Hazardous waste, such as chemicals, paint, fertilizers and batteries, can be taken to the CTC on May 21.
