Blessing of the Bikes set
A Blessing of the Bikes will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson. Blessing and prayers will commence at 10:30 a.m. by Curve Gospel Riders. Everyone and all motorcycle groups are invited to attend.
There will be a short group ride after the event for anyone interested. The event is free of charge.
Soup sale planned
Quarts of vegetable beef and ham & bean soup will be available for pickup from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 1, at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, Claysburg. Soup is $6 a quart and is available on a first come, first served basis. For more information, call 814-931-7130
Food pantries open
— The St. Vincent DePaul Assumption Chapel Food Pantry, 1523 Adams Ave., is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. All interested parties must call 814-943-7962 for an appointment. Picture identification and being masked are required.

Yard sale and chicken barbecue set
A yard sale and chicken barbecue will be held Saturday,
May 1, at Hicks United Methodist Church, 1211 Third Ave., Duncansville.
The yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the pavilion. The chicken barbecue will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $10 and includes 1/2 chicken, baked beans, potato salad, roll and butter. For more information, call the church at 814-695-8529.
All proceeds benefit the 2021 Mexico mission.
Turkey and waffle dinner available
Turkey and homemade waffle dinner will be available for takeout only from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at the Pavia Activity Building in Pavia. Pre-orders are required and can be made by calling Donna at 814-276-3586 or Cleo at 814-276-3432 by May 9. The dinner will include turkey, two homemade waffles, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, fruit salad and cake. Cost of the meal is $10.
All proceeds will go to the missions supported by the Mount Zion Church of Pavia.
Gospel Sounds Duet in concert
Gospel Sounds Duet, featuring Steve and Apryl Caldwell, will present a free concert at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Abundance of Grace Church, 514-516 Pine St., Hollidaysburg. An offering will be accepted.

Anniversary services planned
The Juniata Church of the Brethren, 306 N. Ninth Ave., Juniata, will celebrate the church’s 114th anniversary on Sunday, April 25, with the them of “We have come this far by faith.”
Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by the morning worship at 10:30 p.m. Special music, “Cornerstone,” will be presented by Esther Wharton and Nancy Robinson. The Rev. Robert Wharton will give the anniversary message, “Holiness becometh thine house,” based on Psalm 93:5.
Church history will be presented by Bernard Faust, board chairman.
Sunday evening services at 7:30 p.m. feature a concert by Steve and Apryl Caldwell highlighting the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. Fellowship, anniversary cake and coffee will be available after the service.
