PSU professor publishes book
Brian Black, Head of the Division of Arts and Humanities and Professor of History and Environmental Studies at Penn State Altoona, recently published the book “Gettysburg Contested: 150 Years of Preserving America’s Most Cherished Landscape.” Beginning with the role that the landscape played in the battle of July 1-3, 1863, the book tells the story of the battlefield’s preservation up to present day.
