Steve and Darlene Gority of Altoona recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. A party is being planned for Oct. 17 at the Cesare Battisti.
They were married Aug. 14, 1976. Mrs. Gority is the former Darlene Rader.
The couple have two sons: Justin (Melanie) of Altoona and Blake (Lindsey) of Clarksville, Tenn.
They also have four grandchildren: Landon, Grayson, Quinn and Nora.
Mrs. Gority retired from Altoona Hospital after 38 years of service in the cardiology department.
She enjoys zumba and walking at the beach.
Mr. Gority retired from Norfolk Southern as a yardmaster, conductor after 38 years of service.
He enjoys golf and is a member of the First Church of God, the Bavarian Aid Society and the Cesare Battisti.
The couple met while skipping lunch at school and going to Woody's.
