Philip and Nancy Luciano

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Luciano of Altoona celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 22. A celebration was held for the couple by their children with close relatives and friends.

They were married Nov. 22, 1975, by the Rev. Robert Harris, formerly of Altoona.

Mrs. Luciano is the former Nancy Chilcote.

The couple have two children: Col. Angela Edmondson, USAF-Ret., of Alexandria, Va., and Philip Luciano II (Lindsay) of Wexford. They also have four grandchildren: Dominic Edmondson, Grace Edmondson, Claire Luciano and Maximo Luciano.

Mrs. Luciano retired as a school aid from the Altoona Area School District. She is a member of Transformation Church, Altoona, and has been performing in choir functions and musicals in the city of Altoona for many years. She is also a member in women’s ministries and enjoys gardening.

Mr. Luciano retired as a layout tech after nearly 40 years with Penn Central, Conrail and Norfolk Southern in Altoona and the Hollidaysburg Car Shops.

He received an associate’s degree in engineering and is a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Central Pennsylvania British Car Club, Horseshoe Carvers and Trout Unlimited.
